Join the Board of Directors
Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to your community in a meaningful way? Than consider being part of our dynamic organization by joining the Board of Directors at the BCNF.
Board members need not have a direct or family connection to NF. What we do need are people with energy, commitment, creativity and a desire to participate in helping the Foundation move forward.
What’s Involved:
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that have three main responsibilities:
- Keep the organization on the right side of the law and financially healthy.
- Define the organization’s future by ensuring that we have a strategic vision and plan.
- Willingness to share your connections, resources and expertise.
Board Members are required to participate in board meetings, on committees and attend the yearly Annual General Meeting. Meetings are held every six weeks by teleconference and last approximately 60-90 minutes. The provincial Board will meet a minimum of once a year for a face to face meeting. This meeting location will vary but is planned for Vancouver, October 23rd 2010. Travel cost are provided.
