Your donation will go directly towards fulfilling our mission statement of “empowering and improving the lives of individuals and families affected by Neurofibromatosis”, by providing information, and educational and support services.
Become an NF Champion!
By joining the NF Champion monthly giving program, you support our fight against NF. Our NF Champions provide a stable funding base that allows us to plan ahead and respond quickly to any urgent demands we may face.
Becoming an NF Champion is simple and risk free. On the 15th of each month a designated gift amount is securely transferred from your VISA, MasterCard, or automatic bank withdrawal. You can cancel or alter your payments at anytime just by calling the office or emailing us.

- Becoming an NF Champion gives you an opportunity to provide support throughout the year in a convenient, worry-free format .
- You specify an affordable amount that doesn’t interfere with your regular monthly budget. You can spread your contribution in convenient instalments throughout the year.
- You won’t receive regular mail appeals, saving us paper and reducing administrative costs.
The BCNF is extremely appreciative of those who support out organization. Once a year the BCNF will send you a charitable tax receipt that recognizes your yearly financial contributions. We will also have a special section in the 2011 Annual Report that will recognize and thank our NF Champion donors.

Gift Card Program
We are please to offer a convenient new way of supporting the BCNF: Charity gift cards. Buy gift cards for many of the places you spend your money at already and BCNF receives a percentage of the purchase (2-11%)! All gift cards cost the same as they do in store but, when purchased through the Charity Gift Card program, you are supporting the BCNF.

Donate Your Reward Points
If you have points collecting from different Rewards Programs, please consider donating them to the BCNF.
Save on More, Shopper’s Optimum, Aeroplan, HBC and RBC rewards, all have charity programs where you can actively get involved in your community by donating a portion or all of your points online. BCNF can use the points to purchase items to sell at the auction, and use the air miles to send kids to camps.
Check out your reward program’s charity program and designate the BCNF as a benefactor.

A Fitting Memorial
There may be someone special you’d like to remember a friend or a relative who is no longer living. You can give special recognition to those loved ones with a gift in their honour to the BCNF. Call the British Columbia Neurofibromatosis Foundation at 1-800-385-BCNF (2263) and we will mail a card to the family of the person you want to honour, telling them a gift has been made in their name, but not mentioning the amount you’ve pledged.
Leave a Legacy
A gift made to the BCNF through your will is a meaningful opportunity for you to participate in charitable and community activities in a way that allows the work of this organization to be well supported now and long after you are gone. Surprisingly, such a gift can also be a very practical addition to a financial or estate plan when tax issues are taken into consideration – even for those who don’t think they have tax issues. Your gift can be a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate. For more information, contact the BCNF, or speak to your financial advisor.
Double Your Giving
When you make your gift to the BCNF, check with your employer to see if your company has a “matching gifts” program. This is where the company will donate the same amount their employees contribute to their favourite charities. If they do have such a program, request the specialized form and fill it out according to the guidelines.
Organize a Third-Party Fundraising Event
You can assist the BCNF in its mission to improve the lives of people living with Neurofibromatosis by hosting a fundraising event in support of the BC Neurofibromatosis Foundation research, education and patient support programs. You can also call us toll free at 1-800-385-BCNF (2263) or direct (250) 743-2678 to make a donation using a credit card, or to discuss a gift.
